I attended a Gartner briefing called "SOA Best Practices - How To Use It To Make A Difference" at their EMEA HQ in Egham.
Of the three presentations,
(1) was very useful
(2) was all about development, and not much to do with SOA
(3) was all about file transfers, and not relevant at all
